Our Vision statement is that we are:
“Aspiring to be a welcoming, worshipping and prayerful community coming together to bring Good News to the people of Devonport”
As a community we are committed to living by a set of values:
- To be generous with each other – not just in terms of money, but also in terms of time and energy (Generosity)
- To be hospitable to people, especially those who do not look or think like us (Hospitality)
- To rejoice with those that sing for joy : To mourn with those that sing songs of lament (Joy)
Prayer Goals:
The church is meant to be like a family meal, where we all serve each other rather than a Restaurant where we are served. We want to pray into what it means to be family:
- That we might be real with each other, truthful with each other and vulnerable with each other
- That we might include people who feel excluded
- That we might love each other even when that is hard
- That we might be led by the Spirit in all we do
- That we might arrive ready with a word, song or revelation whenever we meet
- That we may be passionate in Christ and through all we do
Liturgy
We eat together at least once a month
Stuff we Do:
- I’ll ask Jesus to guide my daily decisions
- I’ll be generous with my words and my stuff
- I’ll love others as Jesus loves me
- I’ll read my bible and try my best to live it out with the Holy Spirits help.
