At the trustees meeting on Monday 6th July, we agreed to start meeting AFTER the Zoom service (which will now start at 10am) from the 19th July for a Socially Distanced Church Socials:
We agreed with the risk assessment, that the procedures suggested would make the building safe. Because we will continue to meet on Zoom for the time being (at 10am not 11am) we concluded we would still be including as many people as possible. We also decided that as eating together was central to what we do as a community, it would be a legitimate act of worship.
So we will meet on the 19th of July after the zoom church (10am) start from 11.30 at the Mount Wise Neighbourhood centre
Some rules that will need to be applied:
- Only use the front entrance – as we need to keep a record of who attended, and how long they stayed
- The front door will be open between 11.30 and 11.45 for people to enter
- You may need to queue
- Obey all the signs
- Please do not attend if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms (https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/symptoms/)
- We have an infrared thermometer and we may ask you to submit to a temperature test each week
- At this stage only regular attenders can attend – sadly we cannot invite people not part of the community AT THIS STAGE
- You will enter one family household at a time, walk straight through the building to the outside (masks are “encouraged” while in the building)
- There will be a sanitizer station in the entrance all hands must be sanitized before and after leaving the building
- Please bring a picnic, picnic blanket or chairs – to sit in Household groups 2m apart
- You can re-enter the building to use the loo
- One person will also be allowed into the kitchen, but only to boil the kettle(max 2 people in the building)
- A short act of worship will happen, a music-only action song, socially distant (bring your own communion), or a creative socially distant activity
- We will keep 2m distancing – staying in-household groups
- Food will not be shared, and if we use BBQ’s you will need to cook your own food and use your own utensils.
- Once concluded we will leave one household at a time
