At dcbc we aim to do the following regarding finances:
Honour all giving and givers equally
We believe that giving as a much as an act of worship as singing songs, taking communion or doing good works. Although we do not believe that members should be forced to give a tithe(10%), we do believe that all of us (rich and poor) should be prepared to offer back to God our first fruits, so it may be 10% but we should search our hearts and give according to what God has told us to give – or as the Apostle Paul writes in 2 Corinthians “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” Each week we take an offering accordingly.
Jesus taught “But when you give.. do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing” in order to make that possible with modern technology, we also encourage our members to give through a standing order. which you can download here: Standing-Order-Form-GDPR.pdf (35 downloads)
