Social Action, Social Justice and Environmental Care

Our next event is:

No Events

We are a church that is passionate about seeing our faith make a difference in Devonport. We do not believe that we are saved by works, but as John Stott put it  “Good works are indispensable to salvation – not as its ground or means, however, but as its consequence and evidence.”

In terms of social action, we have taken to the local high street to tell people that Jesus loves them by making it a nicer place to be – through yarn bombing, weeding, tidying, and replanting. We have sporadic days where we go out if you would like to know more please contact Rachael.

We are linked to Red Letter Christians UK, and we are passionate that “faith without works is dead”, we are committed to social justice, not just in terms of challenging injustice but also challenging the systems that uphold injustice.

We are a Silver Level Eco-Church. We do this because we are created by God to love his creation.

Do take a look at this article in the Baptist Times and find out more about how we achieved this award together!

Some of our members are part of Christian Climate Action in Plymouth: CCA Plymouth
